Overdrive’s Harry Gold Steals the Show at NEDMA’s 2015 Direct Marketing Innovations Symposium

Yesterday, March 5, 2015, the New England Direct Marketing Association (NEDMA) held its annual Direct Marketing Innovations Symposium at the Microsoft Iconic Center in Cambridge, MA. Unique in its vast focus, this event delves into marketing technologies and strategies that exist exclusively online, exclusively offline, and those that encompass a variety of the two. This year, session topics included data, mobile marketing, marketing automation, direct mail, analytics, print technology, marketing analytics, and more. While the content presented at the conference differs significantly from year to year, the objective always remains the same: to bring together the best and the brightest from the direct marketing world, and devote a day to the exploration of the latest tactics and technologies with which both B2B and B2C marketers must be familiar. This year’s symposium was unique in that it featured three opportunities for participants to network, sharing their expectations before the first session of the day, reconnecting for an interactive Lunch and Learn session, and finally, discussing what they and their colleagues had learned throughout the day.

Eight sessions were held over the course of the day, with two running concurrently at all times. Speakers represented companies ranging from DataPoint Media, to USPS,Digital Wavefront, to BKM Marketing, and more. As always, Overdrive‘s Founding CEO, Harry Gold, drew a full room of captivated audience members to his session, which was entitled Quick Start Marketing Automation: Planning and launching nurture campaigns now! Starting with basic concepts and practices and building to higher levels of complexity, Gold’s session was accessible to both marketing automation novices and experts, alike.
