Senior Interactive Designer

We’re looking to hire a senior-level Interactive Designer with a proven ability to bring verbal messaging to life in an innovative and compelling way. This includes visual and interactive design focused on encouraging user interaction and providing a memorable brand experience.

You should have proven experience in multi-media banner design and development, including an expert knowledge of ActionScripting. Website design is also a requirement, with a basic understanding of CSS/XHTML. You should have at least 7 years of design/development experience in an agency and/or client setting. Expert use of Photoshop and ActionScript are a must! Position is open immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Concept and implement marketing campaigns for various online projects including:
    • Rich media, Flash, & rotating .gif banner design and development (focus on rich media banners). Interpret verbal messaging and develop banner concepts, which bring the ideas to life in a compelling way while supporting the desired user conversion. Must demonstrate knowledge of the banner concepting process from storyboard development thru execution.
    • Micro sites and landing page design. Utilize wireframe documentation and demonstrating varying opportunities to visually display the required information. Ability to demonstrate opportunities to drive the defined user conversion is required.
  • Understand our business, brand and marketing objectives; proactively contributing to its evolution and success.
  • Demonstrates superior client interaction and communication skills as well as a strong work ethic. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate how creative concepts support the defined project objectives and support user conversion goals.
  • Maintain awareness of technical and creative trends on the web.
Requirements
  • Expert-level experience with ActionScripting
  • Expert-level experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, ImageReady, graphic optimization, GIF/Flash animation, web-safe palettes and browser compatibility
  • Strong conceptual and graphic design ability; sense for interactive motion, layout, color, imagery and typography
  • Understands how graphics combine with various programming platforms and languages including CSS/XHTML, JavaScript, etc.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in design-related discipline
  • 7-10 years web and graphic design experience within a client and/or agency setting

Search Engine Marketing Specialist

Overdrive is seeking candidates for the position of search engine marketing specialist. The applicant should be familiar with paid search programs (Google AdWords, Overture/Yahoo! SEM, etc.) and the basic elements of natural search engine optimization. The SEM specialist will be responsible for planning, implementing, analyzing and optimizing our paid search engine marketing campaigns using Overdrive's suite of campaign management and tracking tools. Candidate must be energetic, enthusiastic, and ready to learn and work in a fast-paced high-growth environment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, manage, analyze and optimize paid search engine marketing campaigns
  • Compile and document campaign analysis, performance reports and measure ROI

We need an experienced proofreader to help us with proofing all our projects. Majority of these projects need to be proofed online from a provided URL link, text document or PDF. The kind of projects you'll be proofing will be web sites, microsites, eNewsletters, eAlerts, landing pages, Search Engine Optimization keyword content pages, new business proposals and presentations and other traditional marketing materials.

Working off-site from your home is the best arrangement, but working from our office is also possible. Internships

We're also interested in working with motivated marketing, communication, new media and design students through internships. The ideal candidate will receive hands-on experience in the daily operations of an integrated eMarketing design firm, and should have experience with the related software that we use (or otherwise be a fast learner).

Internships are available for each semester and require a college-approved intern credit program, student resume and portfolio. A review for appropriate candidates will be scheduled for acceptance. A minimum of 20 hours per week is required.
