Google Maintains Worldwide DominanceIn a recent WPP GroupM study, Google was found to have an 86% share of search inquiries amount 35 countries in 2007.Now, adding to this dominance, Google already dominates over 61% of mobile search, according to Nielsen Mobile. The breakdown of mobile search leaders is as follows: Google mobile users also search more often — nine times per month on average, versus 6.7 times per month for Yahoo mobile searchers.Google is also the default search engine on iPhone, Opera mobile browsers, and is in the midst of closing a deal to become the default engine on Sprint mobile devices as well. According to MediaPost, "More than 113 billion core searches were conducted in the U.S. during all of 2007, with Google Sites accounting for nearly 64 billion, representing a 56 percent share of the market."
