Last Tuesday, October 1, 2013, the New England Direct Marketing Association (NEDMA) held its Marketing Technology Summit at the Boston Common Hotel & Conference Center. The conference focused on the innovation that drives ROI, but much of the material presented also encouraged attendees to understand the technology that helps fuel their marketing strategies. An all-day event, the summit opened with a keynote presentation, featured nine individual presentations and wrapped up with a three-person panel. Speakers represented companies ranging from Hubspot, to Google, Brainshark, IBM Interactive and more.
Two members of the Overdrive Interactive team were featured at the conference: CEO, Harry J. Gold spoke to a packed room about “Search Marketing: Killer Tactics & New Technologies.” Later in the day, Director of Social Media, Bob Cargill, led a panel discussion on “The Tools and Technologies for Social Media Success,” for which he was joined by Akamai Technologies’ Director of Brand Communications & Social Media, Jamie Pappas, and IBM Interactive’s Senior IT Architect, Eric Andersen.
