Overdrive Takes 2nd Place in Annual NEDMA golf tournament
On a crisp Monday morning as the sun was peeking over the horizon, members of the Overdrive Interactive team met at Ferncroft Country Club to participate in the 6th annual New England Direct Marketing Association (NEDMA) Golf Open. Following tradition, the tournament was played in the scramble format, which permits each team member to play from the team’s best shot.
Overdrive was represented by CFO Dan Alexander and search marketers Dan Geller, Jesse Shapiro, and Seth Richtsmeier.
As the foursome stepped onto the dew-covered course, they began the morning with a disappointing first hole. Shaking off the first hole jitters, however, they regained composure and went on to sink putts throughout the day that would have Tiger Woods pumping his fist in celebration. The team gracefully cruised to a 3-under-par finish, good enough for second place amid close competition – a marked improvement over the team’s finish in 2011, an accepted consolation as Overdrive failed to take home prizes awarded for longest drive and closest to the pin.
The New England Direct Marketing Association is a regional, professional association of leading area companies that have a shared interest in direct marketing, holding events throughout the year centered on educating and networking for marketing professionals. Overdrive Interactive recently won 8 awards at the NEDMA 32nd Annual Awards for Creative Excellence.
