Facebook for business announced yesterday that they’ve updated the brand pages terms to let businesses to create promotions and contests on Facebook without the use of a third party app.
Entries may be collected by user message, post, comment or like a Page post and use likes as a voting tool unlike before their strict policies prohibited the use of any of these engagements as a violation of Facebook rules and terms.
This comes after a long and hard expensive technical road of promotions through third-party applications. The social network has released a downloadable promotions guidelines with more information about the changes as well as FAQs and best practices for administering promotions through Facebook.
