I have two very good reasons to be following Super Bowl XLIX on Twitter so closely.
With our local team, the New England Patriots, gearing up for their ninth Super Bowl appearance (having won in 2001, 2003 and 2004), I can’t help but hang on every word tweeted about the big game this Sunday.
But I’m also a fan of real time marketing, newsjacking and social TV. So yes, from a business perspective, I can’t resist the urge to monitor how brands and businesses are aligning themselves — not just on Twitter, but everywhere else — with one of the most popular annual sporting events in the world.
